The adventures of FOLKLAUR BRETON GATE CURIOSITY (Mars)

Mars is the latest K9 addition to our family. He comes from Breton Gate Labrador Retrievers in Portland, Or. He is very large for a labrador, has a very good temperament and loves people. He also is a “House dog”, that is he lives 24×7 with us in our home. So, how did Mars get his name? Mars was born on the day the rover curiosity landed on the planet Mars.

Mars had his first visit to our Vet today. The doctor liked him so much she showed him to the other staff in the clinic. He is a rather handsome Lab. I will post more photos and other information as time goes on. My goal is to train Mars as a therapy dog. I would love to take him to Children’s Hospital so they kids can enjoy cuddling with him.

12.14.2015 Today we took Mars to the Vet for his first check up. The Doctor liked him so much that she took him around the office to show him to her staff and the other doctors. We are going to have to work on his “jumping up” on people. He is so friendly he will jump into your lap, all 90lbs of him!
